Job Title

Service Coordinator - Part Time

Reports to:

Property Management Director


Job Purpose

Identify and facilitate the appropriate supportive or medical services necessary for HUD 202 residents to remain in and improve the quality of independent living. Services include activities of daily living (ADL’s) such as eating, dressing, bathing, grooming, transferring and home management.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide general case management and referral services to all residents needing such assistance

  • Establish linkages with all agencies and service providers in the community

  • Set up directory of providers for use by both property staff and residents

  • Refer and link residents to service providers in the community (i.e. case management, personal assistance, homemaker, meals-on-wheels, transportation, counseling, occasional visiting nurse, preventive health screening/wellness and legal advocacy)

  • Educate residents on service availability, application procedures, client rights, providing advocacy as appropriate

  • Monitor the ongoing provision of services

  • Help residents build informal support networks with other residents, family and friends

  • Stay current on all changes to statutes and practices and obtain required HUD training and certification on an annual basis


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Social Work or Gerontology degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience working with senior population
  • Excellent communication, writing, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to understand and maintain required confidentiality

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title
Property Manager – Part Time – 24-30 Hours/week
Job Purpose

To manage the Mesa Verde Homes, Mennonite Housing Duplexes and float to other Tax Credit properties when there are vacations, medical leave, etc. that require someone to assist with covering the regular duties of the Manager. Reports to Property Manager Director

 Duties and responsibilities

    • Documenting and keeping accurate records for Audit purposes.
    • Collecting rents and security deposits and posting those payments to accounts in our One-Site software program as well as taking deposits to the bank.
    • Working with your maintenance team to get apartments ready for occupancy, this includes assessing the unit for repairs, paint, assessing damaged items that need to be either repaired or replaced and the cleaning of the unit prior to a new move-in.
    • Submitting and signing off on invoices as they are received.
    • Know your property: Inspect it on a daily basis. Managers should walk the interior and exterior of thier building each day.
    • Showing a vacant unit to potential residents as well as giving them a tour of the facility and what it has to offer.
    • Establish a repore with your residents as well as handle resident requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
    • Accompany pest control and vendors as needed.
    • Prepare for inspections.

Qualifications

    • 2 years of property management or similar type of experience preferred
    • Knowledge of S42(Tax Credit) and HUD Housing regulations
    • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent communication skills as well as being a good listener
    • Attention to detail and the ability to complete required deadlines
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word and Excel)
    • Familiarity with One-Site software preferred (Can be trained)
